Roper IT Consulting · Holly Springs, NC
A fixed-price $750 review of your practice's infrastructure, access controls, backups, patching, remote access, and cloud accounts. You get a written findings report that lays out what to fix first.
I'm John Kevin Roper. I've worked in IT for 25+ years, 17+ of them in healthcare IT. I work remotely first and come on-site in Raleigh and Wake County when the job needs it.
Fixed price
For healthcare practices only. It's a fixed-price way to find security gaps, backup problems, infrastructure issues, and unstable systems before they cause downtime, and before you take on a bigger project.
Core infrastructure, access controls, backups, patching, remote access, cloud footprint, database risk, and obvious workflow bottlenecks.
A written findings report: what I found, which issues matter most, recommended next steps, and a realistic view of what to handle first.
If the assessment turns into a larger healthcare project, the $750 can be credited toward that project.
Not a healthcare practice? That's fine. Law firms, professional offices, and other small businesses are handled case by case based on actual scope.

These are the kinds of issues the assessment is meant to find before they turn into downtime, lost data, or a security incident.
Services
Healthcare practices come first. Other small businesses are scoped case by case.

You don't need a platform-specific technician. If your practice's systems are unstable, slow, poorly integrated, or hard to support, the first step is understanding the workflow, the infrastructure, the data flow, and the failure points. I can step into unfamiliar medical software quickly, troubleshoot the backend, and stabilize the environment without a long learning curve. That's the work I've been doing in healthcare IT for 17+ years.
Hands-on work involving ransomware recovery support, VMware and server troubleshooting, Azure-related issues, scripting, database operations, and the cleanup that usually gets ignored until it hurts.
Simple process
You explain the problem, your setup, how urgent it is, and what you've already tried.
Healthcare practices usually start with the $750 assessment. Other businesses get a recommendation based on what they actually need.
Clear next actions, practical work, and direct communication instead of a lot of presentation fluff.
Why it matters
Security gaps, weak backups, poor documentation, stale infrastructure, and unstable databases usually don't stay small. They compound.
The assessment gives you a clear, written picture of where your practice stands, so you can fix the important things first.
Ask About the $750 AssessmentAvailability
I do each assessment myself and take on one at a time, so start dates depend on what's already on the schedule. Ask and I'll tell you what's open.
Tools
A read-only PowerShell script that reads your Active Directory and gives you a plain report of what needs cleaning up. It covers stale users and computers, passwords that never expire, admin group members (nested groups included), disabled accounts still in groups, and Windows versions that are out of support. It doesn't change anything, and you don't need Domain Admin to run it. It covers on-prem AD only.
It's a good first look before an assessment. The script shows you the problems, and the $750 assessment is where we figure out which ones matter for your practice and what to fix first.

Healthcare practices, like small medical and dental offices. Other businesses are scoped case by case.
A written findings report: what I found, which issues matter most, and recommended next steps in the order I'd handle them.
Remote first. If something needs to be looked at in person, I come on-site in Raleigh and Wake County.
I take one assessment at a time, so it depends on what's already on the schedule. Send a request and I'll tell you what's open.
Yes. If it turns into a larger healthcare project, the $750 can be credited toward that project.
No. Healthcare is the main focus, but I take on other small-business IT work when the fit is right.
